The miserable and miserly man of business, Ebenezer Scrooge, is visited by the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Yet to Come and is transformed, changing his attitude both towards the festive season and towards other human beings.
Christmas as we know it was largely the invention of Charles Dickens (1812-1870)…”the only time …when men and women seem by one consent to open their shut-up hearts freely, and to think of people as if they really were fellow-passengers to the grave, and not another race of creatures bound on other journeys”

Lisbon Players is proud to present this revival of a dramatized reading of this classic story of hope and optimism.
